How do I create an Addon domain?

An addon domain is a fully functional domain that can be created from within your control panel. Think of it as having multiple hosting packages all sharing the same control panel. You can create email addresses, forwarders and more the same way you do for your primary domain on the account. The only difference is that the files share the same control panel and server.

  1. Log into your cPanel and click on the Addon Domains link under the Domains section.
  2. On the next page enter the domain name you wish to add.  A  username and document root will be generated automatically based on the domain but you can edit them in the boxes provided if you like.  The username and password will be used to access the addon domain via FTP.
  3. Click "Add Domain!" to complete the process.
